Pulse's signature artists in residence program

BLOOM is an artist in residence program launched by Pulse Dance Company in 2019.

This unique program was created in response to the needs of Anchorage’s performing arts community. It is designed to nurture, support, and provide professional development for emerging and mature contemporary dance makers ages 18+.

Artists receive a $100 stipend to support costuming expenses, and a multi-month residency at Studio Pulse Center for Dance for independent movement research. Artists’ work is showcased in a full-scale concert produced by Pulse Dance Company.

In addition to financial, administrative, production, and marketing support, artists in residence receive professional video of their work for archival and future grant application purposes.

More information for choreographer applications (due in December 2023) and dancer auditions coming soon!

Performances are scheduled for April 19 & 20.
