Play with Pulse - Free Community Dance Classes

Company artists instruct fun, open-level, accessible dance classes in varying styles to educate and inspire. Offered in the summers and as special pop-up events.

Holiday Productions
Our revamped rendition of The Nutcracker rotates with exciting new productions of classic fairy tales. Open to ages 8+ and provides young dancers the opportunity to learn and perform alongside professional caliber dancers. For a flat rate of $150, children receive 3.5 months of dance rehearsals, full costuming, and a large-scale concert performance opportunity making this one of the most accessible shows for children and adults to partake in annually in Anchorage.

BLOOM
The choreography residency of the year! This event supports emerging artists and dancers by providing dance-specific resources to encourage the creation and presentation of new work. Open to all performing artists.
Past variations have included the creative challenge of three mandatory prompts as inspiration!

Annual Concerts

Our team of artists maintains a regular training regimen, challenging ourselves to perform and create at a high caliber. Outside of community events, Pulse Dance Company researches, explores, creates, and presents innovative and relevant new dance works in Anchorage, by Alaskan dancers, inspired by what feels deeply relevant to our place and time.

Dance enthusiasts are invited to join the director in one-on-one discussions about the creative process, as well as join the company during rehearsals to witness how performances are made.

State-wide dance camps
Every summer, members of Pulse Dance Company host youth and adult dance classes in various towns across the state where dance offerings are limited.
 

Studio Pulse Center for Dance Scholarship

PDC will begin offering an annual $300 scholarship to students who demonstrate a passion for dance combined with exceptional work ethic.

HAUS PULSEThis pop-up dance showcase provides dancers of all styles and backgrounds with an audience and a performance space. It serves to unite the dance community and inform and excite viewers while celebrating vibrant arts and culture in Anchorage.
