Free Community Dance Classes

Company artists instruct fun, open-level, accessible dance classes in varying styles to educate and encourage fitness through creativity.

HAUS PULSE
This pop-up dance showcase provides dancers of all styles and backgrounds with an audience and a performance space. It serves to unite the dance community and inform and excite viewers while celebrating vibrant arts and culture in Anchorage.

Big Feat Little Feet

The creative community challenge of the year! This event encourages the creation of new work and provides an opportunity to present work, receive valuable adjudicator feedback, and a chance to earn prize money. Open to all artists, creators, and talents.

• All interested parties (solos, duets, groups, dancers, non-dancers) meet at Studio Pulse

• Three prompts are announced as inspiration

• One week later, new works are premiered at UAA's Jerry Harper Studio Theatre. Judges and audiences select winners for $300 cash, prizes, and constructive feedback.
  
   

Pre & post show talks // open rehearsals
Dance enthusiasts are invited to join the director in one-on-one discussions about the creative process, as well as join the company during rehearsals to witness how performances are made.

State-wide dance camps
Every summer, members of Pulse Dance Company host youth and adult dance classes in various towns across the state where dance offerings are limited.
 

 

Studio Pulse Center for Dance Scholarship

PDC will begin offering an annual $300 scholarship to students who demonstrate a passion for dance combined with exceptional work ethic.
